We are thrilled to share exciting news about one of our Africa Fellows, Dr. Ernest Anim-Opare from Ghana! He is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer and Physician for Team Ghana at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The IRF Fellowship Program: Our program is dedicated to addressing the critical shortage of rehabilitation medicine specialists in sub-Saharan Africa. By training and empowering individuals like Dr. Anim-Opare and our other fellows, we strive to improve the access to rehabilitation services in this region.

Founded by Dr. Haig and his brother, Tom Haig after Tom’s spinal cord injury, the International Rehabilitation Forum (IRF) is a non-profit organization committed to fostering expertise and collaboration in the development of relevant rehabilitation medicine practices in low-resource countries.
